The "Florida Citrus Cup" for Juniors, Adults and Masters
was held in Pembroke Pines at the Charles W. Flanagan High School in
Florida / USA on the 23rd January 2005. The chief organiser of this event
was Sensei Gilbert VENERO. Prof. George POPPER, GCKM (HUN) - President
of IBSSA was invited to this spectacular and high standard event by John
DI PASQUALE 6. Dan Karate Master.

The Florida Citrus Cup was a great success
for Gilbert VENERO, who managed to bring in 200 competitors and coaches
from around the US and more for this event. On hand were instructors
Roger JARRETT and Jake LEASE from West VA, Juan LARIOS from CA, Tokey
HILL from NY, Herb WILES and George BREMAN from the Bahamas, Doug STEIN
and Dave ROTH from Florida plus many other local instructors. Athletes
arrived from Central and South America, as well as from the Caribbean
Islands.
