Short-range Drone Awareness Training by the ARTAN Training Centre





Dear IBSSA Members, 

We hereby wish to inform you that on 6 July 2026, the ARTAN Training Center (one of the Official Training Centres of IBSSA) is conducting an intensive “Short-range drone awareness” training. The training focuses on detecting and protecting against strike drones in field conditions for humanitarian mission teams, journalists, volunteers, and businesses operating in high-risk areas. 

This is an intensive training program with practical exercises that provides real-world protection and survival skills. Participants will gain hands-on skills in detecting, avoiding, and countering FPV threats. 

The course is designed for humanitarian mission staff, volunteers working near the frontline, security analysts, and logisticians responsible for movement in dangerous regions. 

Course objectives: 
- To provide essential, life-saving knowledge on response algorithms and FPV-drone attacks. 
- To give a clear understanding of how an FPV drone operates, strikes, and what skills can save a team in a critical moment. 
- To train participants in behavioural algorithms in field conditions. 

What you will learn: 
• UAV Threat Assessment: Identifying various types of drones, including FPV and reconnaissance UAVs, and understanding their tactics. 
• Radio-Electronic Reconnaissance: Fundamentals of radio signals, drone detection methods, and hands-on operation of the “Chuyka 3.0” detector. 
• Security Protocols (SOPs): Implementing safety standards, choosing protective equipment, and securing vehicles within high-risk zones. 
• Emergency Self-Help: Critical medical algorithms for self-aid using an IFAK under drone threat conditions. 

Each participant receives:

✅ Certificate
